Another Letter!

Well let's see since I wrote you last a lot has happened. Mostly BS but we got to play with the M16 A2 the other day. It was Sunday (that's the best day of the week around here because they aren't up you butt all the time and you get to leave to go to church. And it was a great meeting there was a guy who spoke and a lady who spoke and both were on prayer and it really hit me because of how much I have been praying here. To be honest it made me cry a little, but then again if the mood catches me right I have to try really hard not to. Our DS is a cool guy until you piss him off, he's not like the others, it isn't all yelling, there's alot though. After this I don't think I could yell at the kids again. It is uncomfortable to watch a grown man get yelled at for something stupid and watching him look like a scared little kid. I think the mental is worse than if they just hit us. They call us sh**bags, f ing retards, and other as they call it "affectionate names". Pretty soon we get to do the obstical course so that should be fun. most days we wake up at 4:30am "toe the line" which is run your happy butt to a line and put your toes on the line then we all stand in the freezing cold hallway on linoleum and we have to drink a quart of cold water first then hold it over our heads to prove it. Then we have 10 min for 48 men to shave, brush teeth, poo & pee, and get dressed. Boy don't be late for "toe the line"... PT at 4:30 really sucks. Then it is out to formation for PT in 20 degree weather and after that is chow lately after chow we go to classes on alot of boring crap. **some financial stuff** We got the first mail call today. Imagine how saddened my heart was when person after person after person got mail and I was standing there with nothing. :( and it is 10 push ups per letter, if you don't write a #1 on the back that is. So when you write (I'M WAITING) make sure you put a #1 on the back of the envelope. One guy got like 15 letters and had to do push ups and sit ups before he could read them. I got lucky I have a room with only one other person in it so that's nice, but he is organizationally challenged (like you hahaha) (oh good job on the medical bills by the way) but his wife of 7 month found out that she has large cysts on her ovaries so he's worried about her and that makes me worry about you. He cried tonight infront of a DS. I felt so bad for him. I hope everyone is doing good, we don't get any personal time it is a rush to get a shower and back for toe the line, so I have to write by flashlight in bed. I have fireguard again tonight, oh I got off on a tangent there but then it is lunch chow, and we run everywhere, then more class and get smoked then chow and formation lots of (hard to read!) either P&C or D&C that's drills (marching in cadence). Oh everything is in cadence, Pt, getting smoked, pretty soon we need to pee in cadence. I told you last time it was like a slumber party, well now it is more like having the most immature people screwing up your day with their stupidity. Well it's 10:30pm and I have to be up at 12am for fire watch so I love you and hug and kiss my babies I miss you all so much

Crap happens- mostly to me!

Well, last night was totally awful! I lost it, was an emotional wreck, and didn't get to bed until 'bout 4am. Jace woke up at 5am just screaming crying. We both slept on the couch together.... comfy! Then early this morning Gavin woke me up saying he didn't know why but he kept having to go pee, and it hurt. I didn't think much of it- I told him it's probably from waiting too long to 'go'. By this afternoon he was in a considerable amount of pain and displaying clear signs of a UTI. Jace still had her sinus infection. So.... I took them in... no insurance cards at all. I ended up having to pay a good amount for both of them wich the kind ladies assured me would be refundable, providing I brought my proof of insurance in within 10 days! Ends up yes, Jace does have a raging sinus infection. Gavin not only has a UTI but a full blown kidney infection for wich he will need to under extensive testing in two weeks, by a specialist. Prescriptions came to about $50..... should be refundable.

I'm ready to crack! If Gavin does indeed still have the bladder reflux that he was diagnosed with at birth, he could very well need surgery to correct it. If you'll remember from a much earlier post, Logan too, needs surgery in the near future. I think once I don't have to worry with the stresses of getting our insurance info all squared away all this will be a little easier to swallow. Man- I hope so! Right now it feels like I have a huge mountian infront of me to climb all by myself. Let's hope we can keep Jace healthy and in one peice! If my posts suddenly stop.... you can rest assure I'm being well cared for in the looney bin.

I have arrived at basic training at Fort Leonard Wood. Over the next several weeks, I will be doing long, hard training. I will not be able to call for at least 4 weeks. I will be able to write letters, you may send letters with pictures,DO NOT SEND BOXES. Do not send any items that are considered contraband. These items include: food, tobacco products, pornography, drugs, and mgazines or books (except religious material). If found with these items I will be subject to military discipline.

Make sure you write a number 1 on the back of the envelope because I am in 1st Platoon and this makes it easier for my mail to get to my platoon. Please do not write anything else on the envelope.

YAY!! I've never been more excited over a preprinted letter before! Just keep in mind that he may have to do push ups per letter! I'm still sending one per day! : )

Letter #3

Hey Babe, I am writing in the dark cause it's lights out. Okay so that didn't work! We got shots today and it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be. And then the little kid crap started again and we didn't get any personal time so I couldn't shower, and I couldn't do any laundry, and it's stopped being funny. I was supposed to ship out to basic today but Logan's EFM (exceptional family member) stuff took too long so now it's friday. I am having a hard time right now. But it is all taken care of now I ship tomorrow (friday), I was just feeling alone because all my friends shipped and you guys are so far away and it is so long until I get to see you. But I am feeling etter and now the time will start to fly. Today was a bunch of stupid stuff but I got Logan'sstuff done and I figured out that dental and life insurance will cost us $57. a month automatically deducted. *more talk about life insurance ect.* I wrote my mom a letter please give it to her, she going to give you some money to cover my pictures and t-shirts I ordered for you and the kids. You are so special to me, I just wanted you to know that! I put down my places to be stationed as california because you only get one choice in the states and 3 overseas. first was hawaii, then italy, then blegium. So I hope with the EFMthing that at least Cali is an option (moffit feild). Well I need to repack my crap so I will write when I can and I get my cell back tomorrow so maybe I can talk to you and the kids. I love you

GAVIN!

Gavin will be turning 7 this year, and this week he is the VIP. To celebrate, I thought I'd post a few of my very favorite pictures of Gavin. He tends to be quite photogenic, the camera really does love him (wish I was so fortunate!).
