We are finally here and kinda unpacked. We've already had friends over for dinner. I got the new patio furniture I wanted and so far my backyard is my favorite part! I can't wait to get the rest of our stuff from storage so we can hang things on the walls and make it more like home.
I know I promissed pictures, but seem to have misplaced the cable for my computer! Hope I find it soon!

Logan Update #2
Thursdays appointment went very well! I LOVE the pediatric ENT- something about him brought comfort. He agreed that Lo needs surgery and we schedualed it for July 31st. Madigan just opened a brand spankin new PICU and since they have it they want to use it so Logan will have a bed there the night of surgery, with discharge the next day as long as everything goes well. They usually keep CF kids overnight anyway, but given Logan's last troubles waking from surgery they thought the PICU would be a good fit.
Logan seems to be excited for it, I can't say I blame him. He's been miserable and just wants to feel better.
Pre-op is on Monday, along with CT. Then surgery on Friday, come home on Saturday, and Grandpa comes Sunday.
Here's hoping everything goes as planned!

Logan Update #1
Today started just before 7:30 with phone calls. I again I got voice mails. By about 8:30 and many many calls later I had a plan of attack. I spoke to the patient advocacy office. I spoke to the EFMP office. Here was my day:
(usually I include the big story but I don't have time to write this whole crazy day down, so you get a list)
Go to new house on post for walk through.
Go to tricare office and switch the kids back to Madigan's Pediatric clininc.
Wait for an hour to have the lady do it wrong.
Redo paperwork.
Lose Dustin and the kids somewhere in the hospital.
Go down to EFMP office.
Make a call and find Dustin and kids.
Wait for ever at EFMP office.
Talk to nurse practioner and get Logan assigned to a "continuty care provider"
Nice Nurse Practioner goes to talk to clinic Manager.
She gets us an appointment with a specialist right then.
He turns out to be the cardiologist but is super nice and very accomodating.
He tells me he is impressed that I know "the big words".
Dr. thinks all Logan's symptoms are related to his sinuses.(Poor baby!)
Finally leave the hospital.
Get a call on our way home telling us they got Logan an appointment with ENT on thursday.
Stop and get everyone lunch.
Go home and eat.
Popped a pain pill for my super bad cramps.
Take Jacey with me to a WIC appointment back on post.
Got home and held down the couch cusions for a while.
Time to start preparing for movers, but I'm writing this instead.
Later take a load of stuff to new house.
Take pictures of new place so everyone can see :)
Try to get to bed early so I can be up at the crack of dawn finnishing up.

Perfect Timing!
Wouldn't you know as we gear up for this move, someone has to get sick. I could handle just a run of the mill virus, but no, it's Logan. I can't say I am surprised since we've known for a while it was time for sinus surgery. Last night his headache was pretty bad and he started wheezing heavily. Today he spent the entire day in his bed with a junky cough, only coming out when I called him to come eat.
I spent the day on the phone. All day! I must have made 30 calls to over 15 numbers. I'm learning so much but it's so frustrating to be told you can not receive care for your child. I'm just not used to it. Referrals were lost, then found, voicemails were left and never returned. I was given the run around all day.
Finally at 4:30 I gave up and decided to head to the ER. Dustin brought home dinner for the kids. Logan ate and then we left. We arrived at the ER at about 5:30. It was packed.
We saw two intern's and a doctor. They took xrays, but no blood work. They didn't even put him on a monitor to watch his sats, I had to! Their conclusion was his xray looked "okay" and while there may be some infection, it was borderline for an actual pnuemonia so they were hesitant to treat him. They wouldn't let me see the x ray and finally agreed to some antibiotics after I explained they needed to do something before it gets worse. The pediatric pulmonologist was called but never called back, so they sent him home on augmentin. Don't think that will be very effective on a kid who's lung infections usually require IV's to treat.
All in all I've decided to give the augmentin tonight and in the morning since it's better than nothing. Then first thing tomorrow I will be on the phone insisting he be seen. There was no excuse for the horrible time I had trying to get him the care he deserves. If I have no luck, then I will apeal Tricare and get him approved to see a civilian pulmonologist. I had thought it might be nice to have his hospital no less than 5 minutes from our house, but not if he can't ever get in.
Logan is feeling.... not horrible. He's very tired. Extremely tired. His little body just seems worn out. He is still in good spirits though. His sats weren't awful, and held steady around 94-95 on room air and not needing any oxygen. Not his typical 99-100 but definately much better than I had expected for as worn out as he seems.
Let's hope that tomorrow goes much smoother than today!

Craft Room
What crafting woman doesn't want one? I had one in our house, well it was shared with the children's play room. I loved it. I haven't had one since.
Nothing is worse than being in the middle of a project and having to stop and clean up so that your family can sit down for dinner. Even more sad is when you decide not to drag out all your things because it's just that much of a hassel.
In our new home (only 2 days til move in) we have a storage room. Think: big closet. It's 6'x7'. I began thinking about where in this new place I could set up my bow stuff. This is the only logical place for it. I talked to hubby and he graciously approved. I did make homemade strawberry icecream- might have won him over.
So I asked him to look on craigslist for an old kitchen table... cheap was key. In less than two minutes we found a solid wood old table with a chair for only $25. Yay! To top it all off they even delivered it for no charge. Hubby even offered to refinnish it for me so it's pretty.
Now... not only am I busy figuring out move stuff, I'm on crafty mode. Colors and storage, and shelves, but mostly cheap! I don't have room in my budget to really do this room up. It's not even going to be seen, remember closet!
A few things are important, like lighting. If it's not well lit I won't be able to work in there for long. Storage is equally important because I have to make sure all my things fit. Part of him giving me this room is that he will no longer have to see my messes!
In this room I need to accomidate:

1. Bows & Flowers
2. Sewing
3. Scrapbooking
4. Gift Wrapping
5. Beading
I'll let ya know how things go! And pictures will soon follow! Any ideas or advice would be great, remember cheap is key!
