Photographer Wanna-Be

I had the great opportunity to photograph a friend today. She is pregnant and due very soon, wich makes me sick cause she still looks great. I was never that fortunate.

It's always nice when you sit down at the computer to edit and surprise yourself with the results. I'm thinking I need to do this more often....

Hope you enjoy!

And just a few more..... cause I can't contain myself.......

Bad Blogger!

Things have been crazy here lately. Good crazy though, so no need to worry.

We got to spend a long weekend at a retreat on the Columbia River Gorge. The place was awesome, the scenery beautiful, the food okay, the childcare mediocre, the company hilarious, but the class was boring! We spent 4 hours a day sitting in a dark room watching clips and listening to a guy read. Still, it was free, and time away is always valued! The kids enjoyed themselves too.

I took the kids to be evaluated for swimming lessons. They all did great! Jacey's class, like evenerything else here for her age group, was full. We were only 10 min's into sign ups- she's on a waiting list but I'm not holding my breath. The boys got in though, both at the same time slot, wich is nice for me! I also got some insider info on where else to go for lessons, and lots of good info on the swim team. That will be our next step in a few months.

I baby sat yesterday, sometimes I miss taking care of children. It was lots of fun. Jace has her second ballet class tomorrow, she can't WAIT! It's too funny to see how much she loves it. She had a play date today and was dancing all around the playground.

Saturday is jam packed with fun as well! I am taking some maternity pictures for a friend at 9:30. We are all going to a birthday party at 11:00. Then dinner out with a few of Dustin's work friends, and a movie. We are going to go see Dear John. I'm bringing tissues.

The weather is nice, and will stick around until Saturday. I love sping! I'm planning on getting some yard work done on Friday. I feel a BBQ in our near future.

The craziness is nice. It's helping me feel more settled in here. I loved it before, but now I finally feel like I know people. Friends are beginning to trickle in. It helps it feel more like home. It also makes it harder though, when someone moves away. I guess it's a fair trade.
