I am hoping for great things with my new etsy shop and wanted to spread the word!

My items are now available online for everyone to enjoy. No more having to consider a 12 hour drive to enjoy cute things!

you can find me at http://www.etsy.com/shop/bows2match

I had a great first day, thanks to all who are helping out!

Unwelcome Visitor(s)

Tonight while holding down the couch and enjoying Glee! I jept hearing a weird noise. I assumed it was the kids upstairs, or maybe the cat.

Dustin went to bed and I stayed up, but turned off the TV.

I kept hearing the noise.

When I turned around I noticed the thermostat, directly behind my head, didn't have any power.

I'm guessing there's more than one.

Do you think I should've included these squatters in my census?

Keeping balls in the air!

As the spring sports wind down it's time to start figuring out summer activities.

With three of them it's getting tricky to schedual everything so that nothing over laps.

On the agenda so far:

Swimming. All three of them. Two days a week.

Taekwondo. Logan & Gavin. Two days a week.

MMA (ground work). Logan & Gavin. One day a week.

Ballet. Jacey. One day a week.

Guitar. Logan. One day a week.

Boy scouts. Logan & Gavin. One to Two days a week, plus campouts.

Possibly Piano. Gavin.

Preschool. Jacey. Three days a week.

*******************

All starting in July. Welcome to crazyville.

Dustin agreed with this choice, to have each child in a sport and a music. Jacey is not old enough for music, but is starting preschool, so it equals out. I've also added swim lessons. I think they are important, and I really think it would be a better sport than taekwondo.... but the boys really wanted to give it a try. I don't see a point of stopping swim until I'm sure they are happy with martial arts.

Today I gathered all info and paperwork, so I could make sure it was even possible to have the kids in this many places at once! Now that it's coming time to PAY for these activities Dustin is having sticker shock. It's a lot of money, I won't lie. But I am a firm believer in keeping kids involved in things. The studies that link better grades and education to playing an intrument are outstanding. It's also good to teach them to keep their bodies physically fit. I think kids need to have interests, things they love and are special at. It's about developing talents, and creating well rounded people.

I'm not an over-acheiver kind of Mom. I feel no need to over schedual my kids. Or myself! It's easy to turn a schedual into a headache.... and to make opportunities feel like burdens. If it becomes too much. Something will go. Easy as that.
