A "trying to be very busy" Saturday

I woke up early, well.... early for me. On a Saturday.

I hopped in the shower and got dressed. I got Jace up, wich woke the hubby. Jacey was excited to get dressed since she got lots of new clothes last night.

The three of us headed out to run some errands. We dropped the mustang off, hoping to get it sold soon. It feels silly to have 3 cars, and two motorcycles.

We had a couple exchanges to make, then went to order a frame for our new picture.

I got some weed barrier and bark to clean up the front yard. Lowe's still hadn't gotten in their whiskey barrels so they have to wait, and the flowers to put in them.

We got the suburban washed. We went to do more shopping. I got a new toy. It will surely make it's debut here soon.

We ate a cinnabon.

The boys went to a party. We went to let some people drive the mustang. We worked in the yard. We worked on JAcey's headboard and footboard.

I played with Jace.

.............

In the end though it all boils down to the fact that 9 years ago my sweet Austin silently slipped away to Heaven.

Tomorrow, our Super Bowl Cake, will double as a birthday cake for a baby we never have had a chance to celebrate a birthday with.

We will try to pretend it's okay to celebrate any way. Really it is. We are lucky to have him. Lucky to have learned the lessons we learned. That life can be so so short, and can be taken without warning at anytime.

It's still hard to grasp that it's been nine years. When I sit down and think about him, it seems like yesterday. I can still tell the whole story perfectly.

Busy Busy

Things are really starting to pick up pace around here lately.

Both boys are in Scouts and loving it. Gavin gets to carve his pinewood derby car very soon. I'm still working with the Webelos.

Jacey will be starting Dance. I have yet to decide between Ballet or Jazz. I'm thinking Jazz is more her style, and it starts later in the morning wich suits my style too! She is so excited. I made the mistake of telling her the teachers name... she's already worked it into her make believe world. I'm glad I waited to put her in, she's more independant now and really wants to be involved in a class setting.

All three children will be taking swim lessons beginning in March. They have placement tests the middle of this month to determine skill levels. Once they "graduate" from swim lessons they are allowed to try out for the swim team. It should be "once their Mom decides she wants to commit to 5 days a week of swimming"... Six hours a week of practice is a LOT! It would be so good for both boys though! The downside is it interferes with scouts.

And Dustin's schedual will be getting crazy very soon. I will get to do it all myself!

This upcoming vacation will be the calm before the storm!
