Surgery

I went today to see the ENT and he agreed I was a perfect candidate for sinus surgery. I have been suffering my sinus pain for months now and am happy just to be out of pain. He said my sinuses are worse than I thought they were, and I have structural abnormalities that need to be corrected. So I'm schedualed for surgery on March 24th. I also learned today that it's a different kind of surgery than what Logan has had, and I will most likely spend the first night in the hospital, and be down at home for a full week. I was hoping to be back to normal within a day or two... guess not! I will have to wear septal splints that aren't fun for a full week. So wish me luck, it's kinda scary to do this all as a single parent but I know there are plenty of people here to help. I would wait for Dustin to come home, but I don't want to hurt anymore, and I want to be feeling well when he gets home so we can prepare for our move and shop and all that fun stuff!

Another Letter

Feb 20
Hi Baby we just got back from our FTX's (feild training excersizes) and boy some of the stuff was cool, but the weather was horrible! So the first day we wake up at 0300 then we get dressed in full battle rattle and ACU's and we ate our first MRE's and you know whatthey aren't that bad almost good, I had cheese tortellini oh no I had beef enchiladasthat one was gross! So off we went into the rainy morning and two hours later and 6 miles later we were at the FOB (forward operating base). It was pretty neat we got to sleep in huts but the only heat was a little stove, that we had to collect wood for from around the FOB. We did TCP training(?,)IED hunt(?), squad movements, OP4, and QRF (quick reaction force). At nights we had tower guard they were like tree houses we had 4 at the corners of the FOB. For lunch that day I had cheese tortellini it was good they have thier own energy bars called "Hooah" bars, and peanut butter and crackers, and cinnamon apples, chicklets, and a drink. We had feild chow that night, and feild chow the next morning. Another MRE for lunch this time it was pot roast and veggies in gravy. It was good. It had chocolate peanut butter (yummy) everyone tradesthings like baseball cards here. The next morning was today and we put out our fires, cleaned up, ate chow, and transed home. then we had to clean all of the equipment up and put it away. Then we had to clean our weapons for three hours because we shot blanks and they make your weapon really dirty. Finally at like 1600 we got to shower...... oh that was just awesome. We are supposed to go to blue phase on monday so that is exciting. Now it is only twoo weeks from today til basic is over, it is about time. Tomorrow we go and get our class A's, we are pumped it will be so cool and feel so official. We have the dentist on Monday for my root canal and we are supposed to have a 10kso we will see if that happens. Next big thing is our PT test and the day before our pass we do our last FTX and it is a 10k, we get back at 0000 because that night we do the right of passsage, remember the live tower fire overhead and low crawl? WEll that was my week. I got my package yesterday and they are great (suger free cough drops). I love you I hope your week was good. Hi babies, Daddy loves you!
xxx oooo Me!
hooah!

A Letter!

I apologize for falling behind on the letters.... I'm way behind and to catch up would take me forever. So I'll start with this one:

Hi Honey, Happy Valentines Day! I know I won't get to talk to you today so I thought I'd write you so you know I was thinking of you. I get to talk to you tomorrow on our pass. I was glad you got a new phone you should always pick up when I call now. So I know I told you I shot a bunch of awesome machine guns and grenade launchers the other day it was the MR19, the AT4, 240B, M249 SAW, M203, and M2.50 cal. I also found out that I get lasik for free. Oh, thank you for the jokes we rolled in my room from the "dis-custard" joke it was great. I hope your sunburn is getting better, I just can't leave you alone you seem to get hurt more often when I do. I found outsome upsetting news about our pass, our DS said that he doesn't know if we are getting a pass, so I don't knowwhat to do. I still think it's worth a chance just to see you. See if you can make changes or cancel if it gets close and they say "no pass". Oh, and I think maybe if you could bring something sweet with you like peanut butter rice crispies, or caramel corn...yummy. Well I just talked to you, it is so nice to be able to talk to you as often as I have been. I'm just so excited to see you in a couple weeks, it is gonna be great. I won't be able to write you until friday so don't be discouraged I will write and tell you how everything went out in the wild. I never want pizza again, it was good for the first few peices then it wasjust eating to eat. Well it's lights out so I will write you when I get back. I love you and will be thinking about you.
Love,
Me
