After Sacrament we snuck home, changed into sweats and old shoes, packed a pic nick, and loaded up the car. We have an awesome beach only about 10 minutes away! Even Duke got to join us.
There is a busy train track that seperates the beach area from the main road. After waiting for not one, but two big long trains to pass, we were there! (How close have you ever been to a passing train?)
Duke was super good, and I'm glad we brought him along. He had so much fun!
Jacey just wanted to dig and play in the sand. Duke wanted to wander and sniff. He even got to be off his leash when there weren't too many people or other dogs around. The big boys had so much fun hunting for sea life. They found a big star fish, and umpteen little crabs. There was a bucket full of neat rocks and sea glass too.
We had lots to watch while we sat and ate our lunch too! It was a busy day for the ferry, and there was a dive team out practicing.
It was so relaxing and a great day!
