This is the first Christmas since Gavin was a baby, wait, longer than that even. Well, this is the first Christmas in about 9 years that I haven't been working or going to school. I've just been home. It makes Christmas seem completely different.
There isn't the hustle and bustle. No last minute errands. No last minute gifts. No up all night wrapping. No stress.
It's been wonderfull. It's been baking. It's been movies on the couch with the kids. The shopping was done weeks ago, and all gifts are wrapped. (they still need tags- but I did that on purpose) It's been visiting with friends. It's given us enough time to really remember why we celebrate Christmas in the first place. It's been fun.
This is what I want it to be like from now on.
