I love when being creative in the kitchen leads to a new family favorite. Who doesn't love french fries? And who can turn down garlic?
Well I cut all my russet potatoes into a little larger than a typical french fry, but smaller than a typical steak fry. (best I can explain that) I put them in a large bowl and set aside.
Now, bear with me because I'm not a measurer.
It's about 1/4 olive oil
1/4 white vinegar
about 1/8 cup soy sauce
and two heaping teaspoons of mince or crushed garlic
Yes it's a lot of garlic, but most of it sticks to the bowl or the pan.
I baked them at 450 until tender, then turn the over to broil until crispy.
Once crispy I toss them in the bowl with the left over sauce.
YUMM!
